The Yorkshire Waterways Museum encourages visit from schools and promotes widening participation from non typical visitors. School visits will encourage children to make repeat family visits and facilitate family learning and an understanding of the culture and heritage of their ancestors. An educational CD ROM for Key Stage 2 is available and was produced during 2004. It was funded by YMLAC (Yorkshire Museums, Libraries and Archives Council) to increase school participation and to tie the collection in with the National Curriculum. Please contact us for a free copy of the CD ROM. Click here to preview Key stage 2 CD ROM Large parties are split into smaller groups, with not more than 12 in each group. These groups rotate through a detailed programme of activities. A timetable is provided for you after consultation.
